How often are your classes?
SSC has a new intake of students/clients monthly. Registration classes are held on the first Thursday of a month, once in the morning, and a repeat session in the evening for those clients who cannot come during the day. On the first Monday following the Thursday, job preparation classes will begin. These are full day sessions and last two weeks, after which the client is now able to start their job search. There are no classes held in July, August, or December.
Evening workshops are held in February, May and October to allow for clients who work during the day to participate in the learning experience. Because there is less time in the evening to cover everything, it is necessary for students to take classes into the third week of the month.
Do I have to take both the registration and job preparation classes before a labour market specialist will work with me?
Yes, all clients must go through the system before SSC staff will work with them. If the client begins classes and is unable to complete the set before they are finished, the client is asked to return at a later date to finish the series.

If you can call SSC at 204-975-5111 before the registration session to let us know you are coming, that would be great. If not, registration begins at 9:30 a.m. (or 5:30 p.m.) on the first Thursday of the month, and you are most welcome to attend.
